Stability for Mobility:

Enhancing Alignment and Stability

Orthotics management refers to the assessment, prescription, design, fabrication, fitting, and adjustment of orthotic devices to improve functional abilities and provide support to individuals with musculoskeletal or neuromuscular conditions. Orthotic devices, commonly known as orthoses, are braces that are customized to fit an individual's body to provide support, alignment, stability, and correction of biomechanical or functional abnormalities.

These devices assist individuals in overcoming functional limitations, reducing pain, and enabling them to engage in daily activities, sports, and work with greater ease and confidence. The goal of orthotics management is to enhance function and mobility, reduce pain, prevent further deterioration, and optimize the overall quality of life for individuals with physical impairments.

The collaborative efforts between orthotists, physicians, physical therapists, other healthcare professionals, and individuals themselves to assess patients' needs, develop appropriate treatment plans, and provide ongoing care contribute to the successful implementation of orthotics management, leading to enhanced function and mobility
