Residency Training Program:

The Pediatric Foundation Clinic Training Workshop is a 500-hour training course which offers a foundational training with evaluation, formal assessments, and interventions for different pediatric cases and concerns.

 

The program will be offered twice a year. Each batch will run for a period of 3 months, with a weekly requirement of 3 full days in clinic and addition hours for lectures and demo sessions virtually and in-clinic.

 

This will be a combination of didactic work with guided learning both synchronously and asynchronously, to encourage the development of skills needed to assess and treat pediatric clients throughout the therapy process. Clinical application and case presentations will be included in the program to illustrate mastery of the fundamentals of practice Physical and Occupational therapy skills and approaches.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS:

 

Should be a PRC Licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist upon application to the program

 

Applicant must be practicing in the Pediatric setting. If a newly licensed PT or OT, the applicant must have a preference to practice in the pediatric setting in the immediate future.

 

Strong desire and motivation to learn and practice in the Pediatric setting and its complexities

 

Must be available a minimum 24 hours per week for learning, clinical activities, and administrative duties. Additional hours are accepted and will be credited accordingly.
