FUNCTIONAL INTENSIVE TRAINING

FIT is an individualized functional intensive collaborative therapy program meant to help create rapid progress and changes through intensive, consistent therapy sessions of a combination of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

FIT is an individualized functional intensive collaborative therapy program meant to help create rapid progress and changes through intensive, consistent therapy sessions of a combination of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

Our 2-week intensive therapy program is divided into three or five daily sessions per week with 2 hour per day slots, with the option for Physical Therapy only, Occupational Therapy only, or a combination of Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy. Our intensive therapy service is aimed to:

promote changes in body structure that improves a range of motion, alignment, strength, stability, and coordination

enhance postural and movement patterns

enhance skills your child needs to grow into functional and independent kids

FIT Program offers a variety of specialized equipment and techniques in conjunction to regular therapy sessions to get better results in a shorter period of time.

PIASTM

Pediatric Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (PIASTM) is a new and highly effective therapy to reduce muscle tightness and promote mobilization of restricted tissues. It frees up fascial restrictions and muscle tension in a very short amount of time, which allows the children to move with an increased range and freedom during functional movements.

GALILEO TRAINING

GALILEO Whole Body Vibration Training accelerates and optimizes motor learning through the principle of massive repetitive sensory-motor training. It’s doing thousands of repetitions in a short amount of training time. It enhances all the exercises that our children do. The Galileo Training promotes whole body training from releasing tension, improving joint mobility & muscle flexibility, improving balance and functional skills, strengthening muscles, and increasing brain pathways.

TASES

Task Specific Electrical Stimulation (TASES) uses an electrical stimulation unit to provide sensory and motor input to specific targeted muscles to increase muscle awareness and function. TASES is used during functional activities to promote motor learning and improve strength, movement, and function.

This was David's last session for his intensive for this week with Teacher Hosanna Say Camacho where he was able to sit like this with minimal support. Wee haven't seen him sit like this before and we're just so, so happy. We've been trying to do the same at home.
...
We're very, very glad seeing his progress just a week through the intesive. Every session has really built up his strength. Thank you so, so much for believing in David and helping us also believe in him! Sending for feeback and to send appreciation for all of you. It's a tough journey, a tough life. But God has surrounded us with so many wonderful people--helping, blessing, and loving us through.

Thank you, our Therahealth family!
